Calc Points View Settings
The Calc Points View Settings can be found the middle of the left side of the Licaso interface. This panel controls which calc grids appear in your views and which daylight metric settings are employed for each grid. It is essentially the heart of Licaso.
Apply to All Views
The top row of the dialog has two check boxes, one above the Enabled Column, a second above the Results Settings column. When the Enabled box is selected, the Calc Points grids selected in that column will appear in all views. This is off by default. When the Results Settings box is selected, the Results Settings selected for each calc points grid will apply to all views.
Calc Points Name
This column shows the Calc Points grids created in the model (AGi32 or ElumTools).
The Enabled check box, when selected, means the grid is visible in the current Licaso view. In the example shown, all four calc points grids are visible in the current view. Remove the check mark to switch off that calc grid in the current view.
Licaso allows you to save custom results settings to apply specific daylight metric thresholds and occupancy schedules to your project. The Results Settings column is divided into two related sections. On the left side is the currently selected results settings in use for that grid. This can be changed by clicking in that portion of the column to reveal a menu of available selections for Results Setting. You can select different settings for different grids if desired.
On the right side is an ellipsis button (...). Select this button to advance to the Daylight Results Settings dialog containing the various daylight metric thresholds and custom settings builder. On the left side of the dialog you can select the current settings selection and edit its specifics on the right.
The small icons on the left allow you to create your own custom settings. You can add new, or copy an existing selection and then make changes to the settings. It is automatically saved when you select Apply or OK to exit the dialog.
Within the Daylight Results Settings dialog you can change any of the daylight metric thresholds for the selected Results Settings on the left.
The Pass/Fail Criteria cell contains an expression builder where you can specify multiple conditions required to achieve a passing mark. Click on the ellipsis (...) in the right side of the cell to access the expression builder. This allows you to build custom rule sets controlling your projects Pass/Fail Criteria. All of the areas shown below can be edited to add or modify criteria. Add additional conditions by clicking on the + icon, remove conditions by clicking on the X icon. Add a second group of conditions by selecting Add Group.
You can select from the factory delivered Occupancy Schedules in the lower portion of the dialog as shown: Always Occupied, Common Office or IES LM-83-12. This assigns the number of occupied hours to be considered in the calculation of your daylight metrics.
You can also create your own custom occupancy schedules using the Yearly Schedules and Daily Schedules tabs across the top of the dialog. The best practice is to copy the factory delivered schedule of your choice, rename it as desired, then edit the individual daily hours of occupancy for your project as shown below.
Create your own custom Daily schedule.
You will want to create your own custom year as well. Then select the daily schedules to assign to each day of the year.
